It is simply impossible to sum up Remi Forsans’ career in a single role or sentence. He has been sailing through the Action Sports industry for nearly 40 years, accumulating an impressive number of professional ventures. Since opening the Quai 34 shop in Annecy at only 23 years old, he has demonstrated a daring spirit, solid business acumen and a genuine talent for spotting trends. He anticipated the boom of snowboarding but also sensed the rise of wind surfing and of course, made the most of it.

Driven by passion and constantly inspired, he is a genuine visionary and jack of all trades. In the 90’s in Annecy, Remi took over at the head of F2. He also launched the Boards and More adventure, was the distributor for several brands and the editor-in-chief of the European BtoB magazine, Source.

Rémi Forsans joined EuroSIMA in 2003. As Vice-President of the association, he was among the key players who created the Mountain Division, which quickly became OSV(Outdoor Sports Valley). What Remi likes, is bringing people together and federating, something he’s demonstrated time and time again.

World Snowboard Day? That was him. Nike SB arriving in Europe? He worked on it with Bruno Débauché. The list of this discreet but key industry player, simply goes on and on.

He sat down with us to tell us about his career and the incredible life experiences he’s had along the way. In this podcast, in full transparency he talks about his encounters, the ups and downs as well as the treasons, that, as he explains, have all been elements that made him who he is today.

Deeply committed to issues related to the environment and CSR in business, he now assists companies in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region in their transition towards sustainability. He is therefore continuing his journey in the Action Sport and Outdoor world, with just as much passion as day one.
